The hard truth

An honest answer is like a kiss of friendship.  Prov24:26

 

Life is messy. Undoubtedly, you will find yourself in situations where you are presented with opportunities to:

 

Give an honest answer and possibly hurt someone’s feelings

-OR-

Avoid the question and say something “nice” in order to avoid tension and possible conflict

 

While it may be difficult to do, you should tell people the hard truth (as lovingly as possible).  You owe it to yourself and to them to be open and honest. If they care about you, they’ll appreciate that you did despite how difficult it may be to do so.
