The honest truth about my “success” is that the success is not mine. I’m an ordinary person who has been blessed extraordinarily. This isn’t an attempt at false humility but rather a recognition that we’ve all been blessed with unique talents and gifts. That being said, some people are able to harness their talent to achieve better outcomes. For some, that comes from simply working harder and that approach works because it’s a Godly principle! But in truth, our individual success is not about us, it’s about Him. While some people want to take credit for their success, it’s a very me-centered and flawed way of thinking about it. Our talents come from Him, the Godly principles that we benefit from come from Him, and favor comes from Him. I know you’ll be ridiculously successful and I want to encourage you to make sure you deflect any glory away from yourself and toward Him.
The purpose of this blog is to write an online letter for our daughter which will be compiled into a book to be printed and provided to her during her 18th birthday. It's intended to share with her our heart about how we feel about her, some of the highlights of this milestone year, and to provide a collection of loving and affirming statements validating who she already knows she is in Christ!
The thing about success
